About Me

Who I Am

Hi! I'm Fatima Ouiza Mazari – a doctor, business analyst, content creator, tech enthusiast, and gamer. I've trained and worked in the South African public health system since 2014 and am determined to use my clinical and technical skills to improve patient care, healthcare worker satisfaction, and the broader health system.

In my personal time, I create content that helps gamers understand the more technical side of PC gaming (and provide a splash of entertainment). In the process, OuiSims has cultivated a wholesome, inclusive, and positive community of over 10,000 subscribers.

Quick Facts

  1. I studied medicine at Stellenbosch University, graduated in 2019, and worked full-time as a doctor from 2020 - 2022. Now I volunteer at clinics to keep my finger on the pulse.
  2. I started the OuiSims YouTube channel in 2019 as a final year to keep sane between study sessions and to stretch my creativity.
(I also reeeeally wanted a community to geek out with.)
  3. Computers have been my major hobby since early childhood (circa dial-up internet days). When deciding what to study at university, it was between Computer Engineering and Medicine.
  4. Ouiza, my second name, is how my family and friends have known me for most of my life. I was first identified as Fatima, my first name, as a 20-year-old medical student by consultants who saw my full legal name on my badge.
  5. I'm 28 years old, happily married, and a cat mom living in Cape Town.
